Comet is the only doe kid retained from 2022 and we love how she is growing out! She’s long and wide, plus she is the sweetest girl! At 2022 ADGA Nationals, she made the cut and placed 16th in the under 3 month class.

Comet kidded on June 2023 with a doe/buck pair, and her FF udder is coming in nicely! She has a nice area of attachment, a solid medial with clearly defined halves, and her teat size/length are already awesome to hand milk. I expect her mammary system to mature nicely in future lactations.

At LA 2023 the appraiser commented on how Comet had very good width from behind, area of udder attachments, and body capacity for such a young goat. As she was on 1 year, 4 months old at time of LA, we have high hopes for her. As she kidded in June 2023, Comet spent the summer/fall raising her doe kid (Cricket).

In 2024 Comet kidded with triplet bucks. At LA she continued to improve upon her score, earning an GEEG85 as a second freshener. I love how she is growing into her body, becoming deeper/wider yet still keeping good dairy character. Pending her dry off test being sent in and reviewed by ADGA, Comet will earn her milk star off of her 2024 lactation (fat/protein). Comet will have 2025 off, with plans to freshener her for Nationals the following year (2026 - 4 year old, 3rd fresh).
